Hi there, I’m Mia!! I just turned 40 in September of 2021, and I am a single mother to a beautiful 8-year-old daughter named Malina (which means peace). Her kind soul and joyful spirit makes the world a much more beautiful place. I love enjoying delicious food, driving with my windows down and music cranked up, snorkeling, cuddling with my daughter, relaxing days at the spa, people that make the world better, binge watching addictive shows, helping people, researching new topics, and truly restorative sleep.

My professional and educational background includes receiving my BA in Mass Communication and Media Studies in 2020, graduating Summa Cum Laude. I had the honor of studying massage and receiving hands on training from the founder of The Mueller College of Holistic Studies in San Diego in 2004, and my mother participated in the same workshop over a decade prior to me. I attended Pure Aesthetics in Tucson and am currently licensed to practice Skincare. I am dual-licensed, and I have been practicing in the massage and skincare industry off and on for over 18 years.

I worked and lived overseas in Kuwait, as a Liaison on a government contract for General Dynamics for 2 years a little over a decade ago, and during that time traveled to multiple destinations all over the world including Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Cyprus, Ireland, and more… I also helped manage a Holistic Health Center that my mother Shelley opened and ran for several years. A few years ago, I opened my own “mostly” organic café while I was a full-time student pursuing my BA. I’ve owned my own massage and skincare practice over the years, caring for many clients who I’ve seen regularly for a variety of chronic or acute injuries and health issues. There is more to share, but I think this covers the most relevant parts of my background related to what I look forward to sharing with our readers as this Blog continues to grow.

I’ve always been passionate about helping people, and that is what we hope to accomplish through the 3 Mindful Generations Blog Community. Frequently, I am asked for advice or recommendations or more details about my own experiences with a wide range of different topics. If this blog even helps one person have their moment of realization to better understand something that they are struggling with and improve their quality of life in some way (whether it be related to parenting or skincare or bodywork or selfcare or gut issues or hormone issues or whatever it might be), than this blog has been a success. Any way a person can change the world for the better, even in the smallest of ways, is a step towards a better, more mindful future for us all.
